DAV Ispat Public School, Nandini Mines, situated at Nandini Township is a Project School under the aegis of DAV CMC, New Delhi in collaboration with School Education Society, BSP, Bhilai. It is a Senior Secondary co-educational School affiliated to CBSE, vide affiliation number: 3330129. Since its inception, the school has catered to the educational needs of the wards of BSP employees and other people in and around the vicinity. As on date, there are 733 students studying in the school which comprises 388 Boys and 345 Girls. The school believes in a progressive model of educational practices.
The academic session (2022-23) saw DAV Ispat Public School Nandini Mines deliver glorious result in the field of academics which resulted in an impressive QPI of 63.0 for class X and 72.5 for class XII. Ahi Tiwari of Class - XII (Science section) scored 92.4% Marks and emerged as the top scores. Soumya Yadav of class X scored 95.2% Marks in the CBSE Board exam.
The school believes in being compassionate towards the environment and so different activities are conducted from time to time. Activities like Poster Making Competition, Plantation Week and procession were conducted last year. Every year the students and teachers of the school plant more than 300 saplings in & around the school in support with BSP management thereby enriching the environment.
DAV Ispat Public School, Nandini Mines has continuously strived to blend education with innovation and creativity. For the session (2022-23), three students of the school i) Bhuraj Sahu (Class-VI), ii) Srishti Yadav (Class - IX) and iii) Jahanvee Sinha (Class - X) Submitted Project for registration at school level for inspire award with their model on "Energy Generation and Solar Water Pump for Irrigation", "Electrict Head Massager" and "Water Pressur Rocket" respectively. Even at the school level, a composite exhibition was conducted which brought to light the tremendous level of innovational abilities possessed by students.
DAV Ispat Public School, Nandini Mines strives for holistic development of students which is well highlighted by the achievements of students in DAV National Sports Zonal meet. Six students of our school had participated in DAV National Sports namely : Aditi Markam (XII), Isha Sharma (X), Piyush Kumar (XI), Abhinav Sahu (IX), Aman Kumar (XI) and Shivam Patel (VII) in different events.
Every second Saturday is reserved for PTA/Parent Teachers Meet which is well attended and reformatory steps are discussed by teachers and parents. There is also a feedback register meant for noting special observations and grievances (if any) & the same is resolved on priority basis. In the LMC Meeting for the session (2022-23), the committee approved the vision of 100% digital School equipped with Integrated Digital Interactive classrooms Board. The management is always keen to expand structural & environmental Development. There is no doubt that the school has shown considerable growth in all the dimensions of teaching and learning in the last decade and will continue to do so in the times to come.
The School also practices rain water harvesting for the optimum use of natural water resources. Apart from this, segregation of water at source, recycling of organic waste, proper disposal of waste including electronic waste is done from time to time. The school also uses energy efficient electrical equipment for energy conservation. The School also promots plantation and gardening in and around the campus to promote awareness among childrens and parents on environmental conservation and cleanliness.
