“A brief Report on Fit India Movement”
To materialize the notion behind Fit India Movement, DAV Ispat Public School, Nandini Mines, Durg (C.G.) celebrated a week from18 November to 23 November 2019 with various activities to crater out the idea of “Fit mind fits in the fit body” amongst the students, the brightening stars of fit India.
The school organized a mass Yoga activities for all the students during Morning Assembly on 18 November; and, on the same day,a Lecture by Sports Psychologist was delivered before amass of the students. The students practised some free hand exercises in the morning assembly on 19 November. 20th November was kept for Poster Making Competition on the theme: “Fit Body- Fit Mind- Fit Environment” in which the students from Class VII to IX participated with full enthusiasm.
Several activities like martial art, rope skipping for class- IX and Essay and Poem writing on the theme “Fit India School” for Class- V & VI were organized and an inter-house quiz competition, Quiz-o-Mania on the theme of Fit India Movement had been organized on 22 November. It ended up with a grand celebration on 23 November in which the students, teachers, staff and the parents participated in various regional games and sports activities like Handi Phod, Pitthul, Ulanbati and so on; and thus, it drew a long measure of plastering on the ignorance of being fit.
